WORKFORCE PLANNING
Workforce Planning
Workforce Planning provides the framework for managing staffing decisions and related investments based on a State agency's mission, strategic plan, budgetary resources, and desired workforce competencies. As part of Workforce Planning, we are developing a statewide Succession Plan to address the needs of our changing workforce by establishing a process to identify the competencies employees need for future advancement and help develop those skills and abilities, utilizing, in large part, our State training and development resources.

Performance Measurement
Performance Measurement is used to drive value, optimize agency performance, and get results. The use of performance measures is an established standard for seeking improved program performance and enhanced results, i.e., improved customer, operational, financial, and ethical performance. Human Resources capacities must be efficiently and effectively managed and evaluated to determine their contributions to an agency's overall mission to ensure agencies adopt the most effective strategies for recruiting and retaining qualified candidates and making informed resource allocation decisions.
