Downloading Instructions for
Adobe Acrobat Reader

Description: This type of document can be Viewed and Printed online however, normally it can not be edited or filled out. To open this type of document you will need to have an application installed on your computer that can read portable document files (PDF). Adobe Acrobat Reader is a free application that will allow you to open PDF files. If you are unable to open a file with the above icon next to it try following the instructions below to install Adobe Acrobat Reader to your computer.

Adobe Acrobat Reader Installation Instructions:
(Please read all of the steps before clicking on the links)

  1. Access Adobes Acrobat download page using the following link. It will open the download page in a new window. http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
  2. Enter your language, platform (your operating system - ex. Windows XP), and your connection speed into the box titled Step 1.
     
  3. Under Step 2, UNCHECK the checkbox to download the Adobe Yahoo! Toolbar. Click the continue button at the bottom of the box.
     
  4. Click the red "Download" button to start the download.
     
  5. Once the file has downloaded follow the prompts to install Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer. If you have any issues downloading or installing please visit Adobes support page using the link below or contact Adobe directly. http://www.adobe.com/support/products/acrreader.html
     
  6. After Adobe Acrobat Reader has been successfully installed on your computer you should be able to open the requested document from the State Personnel website. If you are still having issues opening a PDF file on our website please let us know by using our Feedback Form.

Note: It has been brought to our attention that some documents open but show a blank page in Adobe Acrobat Reader version 6.0. If you have Adobe Acrobat Reader version 6.0 and the document you attempt to open is blank you need to make a configuration change. Close the document that is showing blank. Point to Start - Programs - Adobe Reader 6.0. Once it is open point to Edit - Preferences - Internet. Then uncheck "Allow fast web view" and press ok. The document should open correctly.
